Happy Mother’s Day to all the ladies in the place with style and grace!
I hope you enjoyed your special day being celebrated for the rockstar you are! I hope you took some time to reflect on what it means to be a mother. I pray you gave yourself grace, appreciation, rest, and relaxation!
For me, the journey of motherhood has been a transformative one. As a mother of two beautiful daughters, I've discovered the unique challenges and joys of being a girl mom. My eldest, Emory, who is now 10 years old, has brought me immeasurable blessings that I struggle to express in words. She is a constant source of inspiration and love.
I gave birth via cesarean two times, and I’ve had one traumatic miscarriage.
Emory Grace is like looking in a mirror but a better version. She is an innocent sponge. It has also been a blessing to see her become a big sister. I don’t think she would have had another sibling if it were her choice. LOL! She was the only child for 6 years.
Being a mother has increased my level of empathy for my own mom, who raised 4 children as a divorced single mom. How Sway?! I am forever grateful for her work ethic, gigantic heart, and soft nature. Her commitment to being a mother is an innate part of the woman I am today.
Little Miss Sage is the ray of sunshine I never knew we needed! She is pure joy, love, and comedy! I am so fortunate to experience these two souls. I wanted to share part of my heart with you - because my daughters are my reason. Emory, in particular, has witnessed my evolution, successes, failures, and determination - she’s seen me cry, start over, love, lose, and sacrifice. I wouldn’t change any of it.
Being a mother is teaching as you learn, learning as you go, and holding your child’s hand through it all.
As my own mother would say, “Tell the Lord thank you.”

This week’s quote -
"You will never find one answer to what makes you happy. There are many answers, and they change based on your current state.
People need to relax, but if all you do is sit on the beach, it gets old. People find meaning in work, but if all you do is work, it gets exhausting. People benefit from exercise, but if all you do is exercise, it gets unhealthy.
Happiness will always be fleeting because your needs change over time. The question is: what do you need right now?"
