Hello Girlfriends! Happy Spring!
How are y'all doing? Are y'all alright? Eclipse got you feeling brand new, or nah?
I am feeling refreshed and forward-thinking. I have missed you all!
Here's my truth (in business) - I've spent the last year attempting to build an amazing (code: perfect) web experience for the vision that is The BrownStone Experience. So much so that I couldn't see the forest because I was too focused on the trees.
It caused a lot of stress, cost a lot of money, and soaked up much of my time. But through this redirection, I've learned the true value of these precious commodities-time and money, which I know you all can relate to!
What did I learn in the pruning process? I love writing, researching, and sharing anything I believe will help someone. This is why I believed a magazine was the format to share everything, right? I now know how to stick with the plan and how to be flexible in the plan. After all, it isn’t my plan; it’s God’s plan.
Here are a few things I know for sure -
TBE is a lifestyle hub. The women I surround myself with are layered and wear many hats. Substack allows me to guide our interactions in a simple format that doesn't limit our community to pictures, hashtags, 24-hour stories, etc.
I am still your go-to girlfriend for fashion! I am honored that God gave me this gift. There isn't a day that goes by that someone doesn't contact me for style direction, fashion tips, and overall personal wardrobe aesthetic. I've decided to research and compile weekly finds for us. I may earn compensation for links shared in this column.
Substack is all-inclusive, and I love that for us! I will be releasing SOLO and guest podcast episodes here as well. What was formerly released as our video cover stories will now be known as Style Stories. But two snaps for solo episodes!
For my tribe, who have been rocking with me through it all, thank you for being along on this ride!
